In February 2016 this year, I was approached by "The Africa Report" which is one of Europe's premier publications for African news, politics, economics, opinions and analysis to write an article for publication in their magazine.

I was asked to write alongside Ghanaian award winning rapper and song writer, M.anifest whose work ethic and commitment to excellence in his craft is one I HUGELY admire.

When I got the call to write for the magazine...I could not believe it and still can't believe it actually happened!!!

I was asked to submit a YES response to the question:

"Is today's African popular music too obscene?".

Even how I came to be contacted by the magazine to submit the piece is another testimony in itself. I was like, are you sure? Does my opinion matter? God just has a way of sending you encouragement when you really need it.

Also it was only after I submitted my write-up to the magazine that they told me I was writing alongside M.anifest (I had actually given him a shout-out in my article without even realising he was guest authoring the article with me).

In the words of Steve Jobs, the former Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it”- Steve Jobs

I love writing and I will ALWAYS be grateful to ‘The Africa Report’ for being the FIRST magazine to give me this AMAZING opportunity. It’s truly humbling and I will forever be grateful.
