Whether you're dealing with the pound(£), the dollar($), euro(€), the Ghanaian cedi or any other currency for that matter, you would have realised by now that, of a truth, money certainly does not grow on trees(as seen in the hypothetical image above). Money is one of those nebulous things that we don't seem to ever have enough of as our needs constantly outstrip our wants. We are all so full of dreams and goals and have plans of contributing our gifts, talents, skills & abilities to this world and money will therefore play a VERY crucial role in the fulfilment of these dreams and goals. Economists state categorically that "there is no such thing as a free lunch". In other words, whenever goods and services are provided, they MUST be paid for by someone, i.e,you don't get something for nothing.
As a result, understanding money will be a KEY area that we will ALL need to develop an understanding in if we want to maximise our financial resources in order to fulfil our dreams, goals and objectives.
Unfortunately our school system teaches everything BUT financial education so many of us go through life learning about any & everything BUT not money. Financial illiteracy can be VERY costly and can put to flight our best laid plans and that's why in this month of February, I have decided to focus a portion of my blog content on M.O.N.E.Y. i.e, how to make it, grow it, manage it, prioritise it and be generous with it. I came to the UK almost 20 years ago and as soon as I arrived, I realised very quickly that I had to get to grips with understanding how this substance called money actually works. I have been blessed to have received a "baptism" in financial education from one of the UK's MOST recognised & brightest minds when it comes to knowledge about personal finance so this week be sure to stay tuned as I share some of the nuggets of wisdom I have been blessed to learn from him over the years. This week long focus on FINANCES will culminate in an EXCLUSIVE one-to-one video interview that this finance guru granted me, so be sure to look out for it(it will be uploaded on my YouTube channel "Angie Broks" so kindly subscribe if you haven't done so already and be sure to turn your notifications on in YouTube for my channel so you don't miss the interview when it's uploaded. As always, I pray you have a blessed, fruitful & grace-filled week ahead,
Lots of love,
