Whew🤔....so exactly where did the months go? I still can't believe that we are officially in the 8th month of the year so technically once August is done we will only have 4 more months of the year left to go!!!
With August being the 8th month, in Biblical parlance the number 8 represents "a new beginning, meaning a new order or creation". It reminds me of the words of Scripture which says:
"Forget the former things;do not dwell on the past.See, I am doing a new thing,...I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert"-(Isaiah 43:18-19)
It is very easy to look at the year so far and to beat yourself down by thinking that you haven't accomplished as much as you would have liked BUT I want you to know with full assurance of faith that God who began this good work in you at the beginning of this year is committed to helping you carry it through to completion. As the above scripture says, God is able to "...even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert"-Isaiah 43:19.
Your part is to co-operate with Him and to "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past..." because He says "...See, I am doing a new thing..."-(Isaiah 43:18)
It's a new month...it's the dawn of a new day, don't dwell on what hasn't worked so far this year, it will only suck your energy and slow down your momentum. Somethings you have done so far this year have worked so why don't you focus on those things? They prove that God's grace is upon those things so focus on those things, run full throttle into this new month ready to strengthen those things & watch out with God anticipation & expectation of all the new things that God desires to birth & bring to pass in your life in the remaining months of this year & beyond.
Here are a few reflections on how you can bring Godspeed to your projects for the rest of the year.
1) Write down exactly what it is that you want to accomplish in these remaining months of the year with vivid clarity. It's not enough to just write it down. When your vision is written down with vivid clarity complete with time frames, it excites you to run after it with vigour and passion.
Habbakuk 2:2:-Then the LORD said to me:"Write the vision, and make it plain...that the one who reads it may run with it"
2) Focus on just a few projects for the rest of the year. Less is always more.
Proverbs 4:25-"Let your eyes look straight ahead,And your eyelids look right before you".
3) Pray daily about the vision God has given you for your life and ask Him for daily provision for the vision.
Matthew 6:11-"Give us this day our daily bread"
Something amazing, infact, something supernatural happens when you spend time praying about the vision God has given you. This is because in prayer you are spending time in the presence of The One who gave you the vision in the first place. He will give you new ideas and different strategies on how you can achieve momentum, acceleration & progress with the vision. This will cause your confidence to arise. Covering your vision with prayer gives you God-confidence that everything is going to be alright.
3) Speak about your vision daily.
Have you ever wondered why at the birthplace of creation in the Book of Genesis we see that God literally spoke creation into existence? He is GOD so He could have chosen any modus operandi to give birth to creation BUT He choose to speak creation into existence as an example to us.
Genesis 1:3:-"Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light"
So...let's learn from God and speak life into the vision He has given. When you are in doubt, that is the best time to speak over the vision the most.
4) Every single day, add a brick to your vision. No single day should pass by without you doing at least one thing to move the vision further along.
5) Review your associations
It's not about the quantity of friends you have BUT the quality. Be content even if it means you have just a few people in your life who genuinely support & encourage you just like you also do for them. Share your dreams with the supportive few and let them lovingly & supportively hold you accountable to your timelines. Who are those in your tribe, is your tribe hot or cold, are they a blessing or a hindrance to your purpose?
Review your associations!
Happy New Month!!!
Best wishes for a blessed & grace-filled August.
Lots of love,
